Construction Industry Scheme Services

The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) requires contractors to deduct money from the payments made to their subcontractors and submit it to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). These deductions are considered as advance payments towards the subcontractor’s tax and National Insurance.

To participate in the scheme, contractors must register with HMRC. However, subcontractors are not obligated to register, but if they don’t, deductions are taken from their payments at a higher rate.
